Welcome to Famulus, an app that has in mind to revolutionize the way food-based events are carried out.

How do we want to achieve this?

Lets take a normal use case to make our point clearer. Suppose that youre on a summer holiday in the Italian Alps. The sky is clear, the temperature just right and you are enjoying every moment of it. Lets go on a little bit further and suppose that today you have heard of a special fund-raising event thats close by. Normally, you wish to participate and so you go. There, you find yourself among a few tens of other participants willing to give a hand of support for a cause. You quietly have a sit on a free table and wait for the waiter to come in and take your Brezel & Beer order. Sure enough, she comes, takes your order and goes to a few other tables before returning to the bar to carry them out. This eventually takes some time to do. Time in which your hunger along with your thirst goes up through the roof, pulling your anxiety with them.

We wanted to help and here is where Famulus comes in.

Our app simply replaces the pen and paper with a phone. A smartphone to be more exact, making the entire process more fast, pleasant and lucrative. With it, the same scenario will go like this: You are waiting at the table, the waiter sees you and comes right to you. Takes your order and confirms it and thats the end of his part. After confirming your order - now here is where the magic comes in - somewhere in the "kitchen", a network POS printer issues a ticket for others to honor. And thats it ...

What are the advantages? Plenty! Lets take the actors involved in this story and see how things improve from their vantage points:
1. the owner of the event - has a decreased return time (and therefore a higher overall monetary gain) since Famulus allows taking more orders in a same time span compared to the normal "pen and paper" method.
2. the waiter - is happy that he doesnt have to move a lot back and forth between clients and the "kitchen" and is also pleased that Famulus also helps him with the exchange calculation (action usually done on a separate calculator).
3. you - well, you immediately get to enjoy your order. What more could you want on a hot summer day?
